Ironclad B6/B7 S4 Rear Mount Turbo Kit

Ironclad B6/B7 S4 Rear Mount Turbo Kit

SKU: RMT42
$2,800.00Price

Through SEVEN YEARS of testing, success, and even failures, I've devised the perfect blend of raw power potential with undeniable street manners, in a rear mount format!

I'm happy to release my turbo piping kits for the 6spd manual B6/B7 S4s(until i get an auto tested)! My kit for those of all you who do not know is designed for a single rear mount vband turbo. On my personal car, it is running Xona 10569 (72mm comp / 69mm turbine). If you have another turbo that you would like to run so long as you tell me which turbo it is I will install the appropriate vband. This option allows you to run XONA, Garrett, Comp, Precision, VSR, and Pulsar (to name a few companies) that offer v-band style turbos. I have personally set the record in the quarter mile with this setup on a stock junkyard engine with over 150,000 mi at 11.8 at 120.5mph. That was accomplished between 6-7psi boost with full interior and even the spare tire. I have dyno'd this setup at 7.5 psi making 430 wheel horsepower and 380 wheel torque on a Dyno Dynamics (one of the lowest reading dynos you can get.)

Driving characteristics on the street: Punching it in first gear will result in 4-5 PSI near redline.2nd gear will bring you to full boost by 5K. 3rd 46004th: 40005th-6th: 3700Passing on the highway even six cruising at 70 is effortless just a slight tip of throttle and you will see 3 or 4 PSI almost instantly with this size turbo. I absolutely love driving this car everyday. It is a great balance of mid-range and top end while not being so much of a lunker down low below 3,500.If you require more responsiveness I can recommend quite a few sizes as I've run every size turbo from 60 mm to 76 mm over the course of the years with this car.

*******************if I still have your attention and you're interested, you will get all the exhaust piping, all the boost piping, an intake pipe and necessary couplers.********************

What does that leave you to purchase?

  • * Turbo (I'm a dealer for a few companies)
  • * 4an/10an Oil lines (unless you go oil less)
  • * oil scavenge pump (to return oil to pan) wastegate (let me know if you go Tial or Turbosmart or something else so I can put the appropriate flange on there. 40 to 45 mm wastegate is all you need for this setup.)
  • * extension wire for MAF (to relocate it necessary, speak with your tuner if they will want MAF or to do a MAP install)
  • * injectors (speak with your tuner on size but i can provide whatever you need if you choose)
  • * fuel pump (minimum 340lph, i can provide)
  • * cone Air filter (can provide sizes to fit wheel well)

Options: The design of this kit allows me to fit one small air/water intercooler underneath the car where the secondary catalytic converter used to sit. If you would like an intercooler that will incur extra cost just let me know.

The design of this kit also will allow me to add water meth injection if you rather go that route. I am also a designer for water meth systems. Some of you might have noticed the direct port WM lines on top of my intake manifold.

Concerns/Limitations: This kit is not designed for cars slammed to the ground scraping frame. This kit can and has been on my car that's been about 1/2 to 3/4in lower than stock for a number of years. It has gone through the shitty streets of DC. It's gone over speed bumps. It's gone through Germany. It has gone through the monsoons of Florida. It has gone through the cobblestone streets of Savannah. It is fine so long as you are at a reasonable ride height.

Earlier this year, I ran over an entire semi truck retread laying in a road that I did not see... completely destroyed my front bumper lip and cracked the front bumper! No turbo related components under the car were damaged in the slightest. Things are tucked well and away. The lowest point is the boost piping that goes underneath the rear control arm approximately 4 in above the ground. Quick math in my head would put the rough cost of this entire thing when you are all said and done to around $6-7000 but with that I am factoring the most expensive components like a $2,700 turbo.
